glycine reductase The reaction is observed only in the direction of glycine reduction. The enzyme from Eubacterium acidaminophilum consists of subunits A, B and C. Subunit B contains selenocysteine and a pyruvoyl group, and is responsible for glycine binding and ammonia release.
